"It is always darkest before the dawn." I have heard this phrase many times and never really caught it's meaning until this past year. I must keep in mind that I should not allow anyone else's sadness and fear to encompass my own life.  I should simply focus on the now and accomplish whatever it is that is imperative for me to accomplish at this time.  I would be a liar if I said that I hadn't felt the pain of betrayal by those I loved, and that this hasn't hurt me deeply...or angered me deeply.  I just cannot allow myself to dwell in it. I refuse. I am a strong and capable person.  I am a good mother, hard worker and a good wife.  I have

It's amazing what people can do in their lives.  My Grandfather was a gentle spirit.  I'll remember him letting me play with his white handlebar moustache as a child...and his beautiful tenor voice.  A voice my father inherited, as did I and hopefully my children will.  I send condolences to my Grandmother and all who mourn him.    I wish I had been told.  I wish I had been allowed to say goodbye.  Instead, I found his obituary on the internet, nearly two months after his passing.  Remember I loved you, Grandpa.  I will light a candle tonight to light your way home.  Be at peace.  I'll miss you.
